AEL Limassol and Apoel Nicosia are favourites to reach the Cyprus cup final when they earned important victories over Apollon Limassol and Enosis Neon Paralimniou.
AEL Limassol defeated Apollon Limassol in the Limassol derby by 2-1 however the “Blues” are heavily protesting against the referee’s questionable decisions in the two goals that led to AEL winning the game.
Ruben Jurado got both goals for AEL and momentarily Petros Psichas equalised for Sofronis Avgoustis side.
Apoel Nicosia meanwhile left it late against Enosis Neon Paralimniou but managed to edge a 1-0 win at the GSP Stadium and will have to finish the job in Paralimni.
Giorgos Merkis got the goal for the champions who are seeking to clinch the double this year, they are also two points clear of Apollon in there fight for the Cyprus league title.
