The Quilt maker’s Gift
December 13, 2018 @ 7:30 pm
True love has no color, nationality, religion , socio-economical background. True love has no place for selfishness, hatred, or ambitions… True love is that the feeling you may get while watching the Christmas performance of our kids, of St Loucas’ Special school, called “The Quilt maker’s Gift” written by the american author Jeff Brumbeau. it’s a performance that has been prepared all the way through with love, joy, nice effort and enthusiasm.
The joy of giving and the art of being happy are the main themes of our story, being realised through the talent and love of our own students, our own heroes. A generous quilt maker with magic fingers, makes the most lovely quilts in the world, with colours and patterns that no human has ever seen before, soft and warm as if they’re filled with angels’ feathers. She doesn’t sell her quilts. Instead, she walks around in the streets in the cold winter nights and offers them to the poor and homeless people. On the other hand a greedy king who has all the treasures of the world in his palace, is trying to find somebody who will make him happy and throw away from his heart, even just for a while, his boredom, misery and loneliness.
