The Award Ceremony of Mr Yevgen Staroselskiy took place on 4th July 2019 at 7pm at the Landmark Hotel in Nicosia, organized by the ROTARY CLUB OF NICOSIA, for his achievement of waving the Cyprus flag at the highest point of Everest on 24th May 2019 at a height of 8,848 meters.
The Ceremony took place under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades.
Mr Fivos Zachariades, representative of the President for sports matters, attended on behalf of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as various Managing Directors of businesses in Cyprus and abroad.
During the ceremony, a video clip was shown as well as a photo exhibition was presented, of images captured during the hike of Mount Everest, and Mr Yevgen Staroselskiy presented a special gift of a framed photograph showing the Cyprus flag at the top of Mount Everest, to the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
