Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has expressed the state’s and his own “deep gratitude” towards nurses and midwives for their valuable contribution in protecting everyone’s health.
In a written statement on the occasion of International Nurses Day, celebrated on May 12, President Anastasiades said that this year the international day is celebrated in the midst of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Cyprus and across the world.
“We honour and thank nursing staff, who thanks to their selflessness are on the frontline safeguarding health, making our country proud for successfully responding to the pandemic until today,” President
He continues noting that “the next day will find us all together, working for even better working conditions for our nursing staff and for a comprehensive health system which will offer all citizens the high-quality services they deserve.”
President Anastasiades further expresses the state’s and his own “deep gratitude to all nurses and midwives for their valuable contribution through their effort, sacrifice and love in protecting everyone’s health.”
