History as an occasion. Tradition as a starting point . And poetry as Crete. ELECRETE Project walk on the stretched rope of Cretan music, balancing between the earth sound space of lute and guitar and the sky of an electronic atmosphere.
From the original compositions of the group to the re-adaptation of traditional tunes, from the live recorded testimonies on Kandanos Holocaust by Germans in 1941 to Manos Katrakis acting with Kazantzakis’ plays, from Grammos to Red Lake and from Gibraltar to China, multiple crossroads occur creating an outer sound and pictorial geography. In parallel, the addition of video art and surround sound invite the audience to an even more special experience.
